Chancel Choir Scrip Fundraising Program

Since 1998, the Chancel Choir has supplemented its annual budget for new music, soloists and special presentations through 3 different scrip programs. There is no sign-up fee and there are no additional charges to participate in these programs. The majority of the funds are raised through regular purchases at Ralph’s, Albertson’s and Sav-On Drug Stores. Jackie Myhre currently administers all the programs. Sign up to participate in Ralph’s partnering program in the church office – you just need your Ralph’s card number. See Jackie to sign up for the Albertson’s/Sav-On Community Partners Program. Your Community Partners card will be linked to your Preferred Savings card so you need only to present the one card at checkout time.

Schoolpop, Inc. distributes scrip for hundreds of stores, restaurants, and movie theaters including Barnes & Noble, Macy’s, Blockbuster, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Olive Garden, Smart & Final, TJ Maxx, and Toys R Us. Here’s a link to their website with the entire 4-page list. (You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to view these pages.) To participate in the Schoolpop program, find an establishment on the list where you would normally do business. Jackie collects the money and orders the certificates. When you receive your certificate, it is used just like cash. The Chancel Choir receives anywhere from 3% to 14% depending on the merchant. If you normally stop for Starbucks on the way to work, eat lunch at Carl’s Jr., or go to the movies on Friday nights, the contributions can add up quickly. Certificates make great gifts, too!

Please consider helping the Choirs to further enrich our Sunday worship experience by participating in this program. Here is a link to Schoolpop’s FAQ’s page to answer other questions you may have. You’re not obligated to join the choir in order to participate!
