Church Weddings

The congregation of Anaheim First Presbyterian Church is very fortunate to worship in a sanctuary reminiscent of the beautiful churches of Europe. The authentic neo-gothic architecture is complemented with a rich carved wood interior, soaring stained glass windows and a resounding pipe organ. The exterior was once featured in a Lexus commercial! It truly is a place of inspiration and devotion.

Presbyterians understand a wedding service to be, first of all, an occasion to praise God. The service begins with a focus on God's providential caring for all creation, for the love seen in the coming of Jesus and the meaning of this for all humankind. The secondary focus is on the couple being married and every effort is made to create a service which meets their needs and makes the wedding an occasion of joy and celebration. A printed Order of Service can be made available so that everyone can participate fully in the service.  CLICK HERE

Wedding Receptions

It is possible to have a wedding reception in our fellowship hall for an additional fee when your wedding is held in our Sanctuary. A reservation for such use should be made through the Wedding Coordinator or Church Office at the time the wedding is scheduled. The rental fee is for seven hours of use of the hall, which includes two hours setup and one hour cleanup. There will be an additional charge for any time beyond that. Additional charges for security, use of the kitchen, etc., may apply. Music (live or recorded) is permitted at receptions. The session does allow the use of champagne and wine in the fellowship hall only if served by approved caterers.

Other Special Events and Celebrations

The sanctuary has also served as a fitting site for music recitals and choral festivals. The reception hall has a stage and is the home of the Anaheim Community Theater which is an integral part of this congregation's outreach to the local community. It is also home base to a professional women's chorus, The Harborlites. The hall is available for seminars and community forums. For information about renting any of the facilities for a special event, please contact the church office at (714) 535-2176

Meeting Rooms

Some community groups rent meeting rooms on an ongoing basis (weekly, monthly, etc.) For information about facility use on an ongoing basis, please contact the church office at (714) 535-2176

Facility Use Guidelines

The use of the sanctuary and fellowship hall, along with the other facilities of this church, are governed by our Session. It is a policy that church programs or weddings of church members be given first priority in the use of facilities. In the event of a conflict of date or time, the pastor reserves the right to re-schedule a wedding in consultation with the couple.
It is recommended that as much notice be given as possible in securing a reservation and returning the application form. When this is received along with the non-refundable deposit on the wedding or rental fee, the date and time of the wedding/event will be entered on the master calendar in the church office. It is recommended that a reservation be made at least three months in advance of the needed date.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed on our premises except at receptions. This also includes the cars and limousines.
Smoking is not allowed inside any of the buildings. There is a large tree in Keller Garth (the patio area) with seating around it with nearby waste receptacles where smoking is permitted.
